Empowering our community with clean energy
Empowering our community with clean energy
Invenergy’s wind projects live at the intersection of community, the environment, and innovation. We’ve developed more than 200 projects with the trust of our home communities because we are committed to supporting the areas where we work, live and operate.
Community Story
PPAW supports local hockey team
At Invenergy, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local initiatives that bring people together. That’s why we are proud to sponsor the local hockey team: Les Pumas. Hockey is more than just a game; it’s a vibrant part of our community, fostering teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship among players and fans alike.
Notice to hunters
Clearing for the PPAW Wind Energy Centre is projected to start in Winter 2025. We encourage you to review our plans and prepare to move or manage any impacted hunting facilities.
Liaison Committee
The Liaison Committee of the PPAW wind project began its activities in September 2023 with a mission to promote the exchange of information between the host community and Invenergy. It addresses issues relating to the development, construction and operation of the wind farm in accordance with the values of the wind farm's co-owners, Invenergy and l'Alliance de l'énergie de l'Est. Committee members are appointed for a three-year term on the basis of their interest and experience. They may be reappointed at the end of the three-year term. Liaison Committee meeting minutes are available in French only and can be found here.
